Cellulosic Fuels
Our company started growing our own fuel crops in 2006 and have multiple patents in process regarding blending of cellulosic materials, growing of many different crops we consider superior to corn (some patented) or switch grass, maximizing BTU per pound while minimizing emissions, etc.
We have designed and built equipment that effectively turns cellulosic fuels into clean bio-fuels: liquids, solids or gas. Our fuels of choice are bio-gas for direct electrical generation and bio-oils for industrial burning applications.
Cellulosic materials we might typically use include the following:
Wood scraps (we do not cut trees for fuel)
Diseased trees and stumps
Land or forest clearing refuse
Paper wastes
Our own field-grown fuel crops
Plant stover
Hay
Agricultural wastes
Food wastes
Bagasse
Mill wastes
Our intellectual property includes an extensive collection of burn-tests (proximate and ultimate analysis-BTU, sulfur, moisture, mineral value of ash, softening temperatures, chlorine and fluorine content, alkalines, etc.) on hundreds of cellulosic and non-cellulosic materials.
